New Life

We went to see friends of ours at the hospital yesterday.  It is a happy occasion!  They have a new member to their family.  Her name is Ella Jane.  Precious.  New life.  Knit together by our Heavenly Father’s hands in her mommy’s womb.  Nine months her Daddy & Mommy waited for Ella’s arrival.  Prayed.  Waited.  While they prayed & waited they were already loving her.  Preparing.  Waiting more.  All the while she was growing in that love.  Growing as the Father prepared to unwrap this gift to her parents, her grandparents & all those that will be a part of her life to help…..
her grow in so many ways.  She will need nurtured physically, spiritually, emotionally & mentally.  Children are truly a gift.  We are entrusted with these precious, helpless beings.  But not left alone.  When we first meet them, they are so fragile.  Needy.  Ddependent.  As I reflect on Ella’s arrival, just like every other mother, I think about my own babies.  I’ve watched them go from delicate tiny ones to full grown strong ones.  What an amazing process to be a part of.  To be a tool in the hand of the Father.  As our friends step into a new chapter of their lives to this wonderful thing called parenthood, I am reminded of the Father’s love for us.  How fearfully & wonderfully we are made.  How, through the process of parenthood (which we are never done with even when they become “adults”) it changes you, grows you & doesn’t kill you because it makes you stronger!

Thank you for your comments! I will treat them like the precious gift they are!
